Kgaogelo Monama landed her first role in television, as Sarafina – a young, ambitious and outgoing waitress at Cole’s bar – in the soapie Scandal!.

In the same year (2014) she guest starred in the first episode of Soul City 12. The following year she guest starred in the action drama series Z’bondiwe and landed her role on Thandeka’s Diary, a sitcom which follows the (mis)adventures of 16-year-old Thandeka Zulu.

Theatre performances include Tselane and The Giant, Malibongwe Igama Lamakhosikaz, Exile, In Our Blood, Have You Seen Zandile?, She Bellows and Sophiatown.

With an alto voice range, she is a professional cabaret dancer who has performed at Morula Sun and Meropa Casino; and is a dancer in the group Diva Strides.
