Loyiso<\/strong> MacDonald <\/strong>(born 07 September 1986 in Eastern Cape, South Africa), actor best known as Kagiso Khoza from The Queen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loyiso MacDonald married his wife Luphiwo (formerly Mathunzi) in a traditional ceremony when he was 26 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loyiso McDonald career<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Loyiso MacDonald is also best known for his role as Ntando Sibeko in the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo, joining the cast in April 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also has a starring role as PE and Geography teacher Woody Mabandla in the SABC3 sitcom Those Who Can’t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He started his career in 2007, after quitting his day job and studying speech and drama at a small Durban film school, performing in Tata maChance at Sibaya Casino’s iZulu Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then performed in the Princess and the Pea, a Midsummer Night’s Dream (both directed by Garth Anderson) and Sasol Fever, directed by Gail Snyman, the latter being the first of numerous productions at Durban’s Catalina Theatre, run by Themi Venturas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the four years that Loyiso worked in Durban’s Theatre industry he acted in plays that ranged from comedy, drama, Shakespeare and physical theatre. These included Othello, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Man Up a Tree and Escape from Nombiland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has also acted in a number of television commercials for clients including Tops at Spar and Wimpy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, Loyiso landed the role of Kagiso Khoza in Mzansi Magic sopaie drama The Queen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loyiso MacDonald was nominated for Golden Horn Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telenovela 2019. The award which was won by The River actor Lawrence Maleka<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
