After you have been registered to study at University of Cape Town (best known as UCT<\/strong>), you\u2019ll get UFS PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is an official UCT student portal (student self-service) which you will to access your academic record, exam results, time tables, financial details and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oracle PeopleSoft platform is managed by UCT\u2019s Student Systems Support (SSS). Your end-of-year results will also only be available on this system. You can also get your MOU and access your transcript via the UCT portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to login to UCT PeopleSoft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To access PeopleSoft UCT,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. navigate to studentsonline.uct.ac.za<\/a><\/li>
  2. enter your user ID (UCT student number)<\/li>
  3. enter your password<\/li>
  4. and click on the \u201cSign In\u201d button<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How to reset your password<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Use the Password Self-Service tool to manage your UCT network password. Changes are reflected instantly and you don\u2019t need to contact IT support to change or reset your password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you forget your password, reset it using a one-time password (OTP) token that will be sent to your mobile phone or alternate email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Remember, you can only receive an OTP if you set up your contact information on the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To reset your forgotten password,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Navigate to Password Self-Service.<\/li>
    2. Click Forgot password?<\/li>
    3. Enter your UCT Username then click Continue.<\/li>
    4. Enter your mobile number (or, if you didn\u2019t register one, your alternate email address) then click Continue.<\/li>
    5. A one-time password (OTP) token will be sent to your mobile phone (or alternate email address).<\/li>
    6. Enter the OTP, then click Continue.<\/li>
    7. Enter your new password in both fields, then click Change Password.<\/li>
    8. Click Logout.<\/li>
    9. If you\u2019re using Windows, restart your computer\/device.<\/li>
    10. And if you\u2019ve stored your password in certain programs (e.g. wireless connection, email client), update your password in those systems.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      How to set up your contact info<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Once you log in to PeopleSoft UCT, you need to set up your contact information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Navigate to Password Self-Service.<\/li>
      2. Log on using your UCT Username and Current Password.<\/li>
      3. Read the privacy statement and if you agree, select \u201cI Agree<\/strong>\u201d and click \u201cContinue<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>
      4. On the contact information page:
        • Enter your mobile number and alternate email address, then click \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Either Confirm the update or Go Back and enter different information.<\/li>
        • When you\u2019re done, select \u201cChange Password<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>
        • Proceed to change your password.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          How to update your contact info<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          You can also update your contact info in case you\u2019ve changed your number or email so that you wouldn\u2019t face challenges on the PeopleSoft UCT login page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Browse to Password Self-Service.<\/li>
          2. Log on using your UCT Username and Current Password.<\/li>
          3. Select Update details.<\/li>
          4. Read the privacy statement and if you agree, select \u201cI Agree<\/strong>\u201d and click \u201cContinue\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>
          5. On the contact information page:
            • If your information is correct, click \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>
            • If your information is incomplete or incorrect, enter the correct information then click \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
            • Either Confirm the update or Go Back and enter different information.<\/li>
