Bushy Maape<\/strong>, full name Kaobitsa Abel Bushy Maape<\/strong> (born 1956 or 1957) is a South African politician and anti-apartheid activist who is the Premier-elect of the North West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bushy Maape earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology and economics from the University of South Africa which he completed while imprisoned on Robben Island. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in developmental studies and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in economics from the University of the Western Cape.
