Senwabo Tambo is a South Africa politician best known as the Spokesperson of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Who is Sinawo Tambo?

Sinawo Tambo (born 02 June 1996, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa) was born into a family of African National Congress (ANC) supporters. His father, an ANC politician, worked as a teacher. His father stayed in prison for almost ten years during the apartheid government.

The activities and involvement of his family in politics influenced him. His family involved themselves in the ANC during his childhood. Tambo refused to join the family in support of the ANC. He chose to take a leadership role among his peers in the EFF. 

Education

Tambo studied English, Language and Literature, and Politics and Governance at the University of Cape Town. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2021. 

Senior party members such as Julius Malema, Advocate Dali Mpofu, and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi congratulated him.

Career

Tambo was the provincial Chairperson of the student command of the EFF. He is the national spokesperson of the party.

In October 2022, he started representing the EFF at the National Assembly of South Africa. He was the provincial Chairperson of the student command of the Economic Freedom Fighters.

In June 2022, Briefly named him among the “7 Young People Under 30 Who Are Members of Parliament”. He is the Chairperson of the EFF student command in the Western Cape.

Sinawo became a sworn member of the National Assembly on 22 October 2020. He serves as EFF Head of Presidency Sinawo Tambo.
