Calvin Ratladi is a South Africa director, writer, actor, performer, and choreographer best known for playing the role of Goloza on Mzansi Magic drama series Shaka iLembe.

Calvin Ratladi (born 29 January 1991, Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa). He is a South African director, writer, actor, performer and choreographer who lives with kyphoscoliosis, an abnormal curve of the spine, and is short by stature.
Calvin Ratladi speaks English, Sepedi, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Setswana, and Sesotho.
Education
Calvin Ratladi holds a B.Tech degree in Drama from the Tshwane University of Technology. He graduated from the Department of Drama and Film in 2016. He is a UP Masters Degree Candidate.
Career
Ratladi is a performer and has appeared in many theatre appearances since 2013. He was a Performer in Intussnin in 2013. He played Animus & Ensemble in Dis[illusion] in 2014.
In 2015, he was a performer in Dipolelo Gotswa Borwa. He played Estragon in Waiting For Godot in 2015 and Father Timm in Bremen Coffee in 2016.
From 2017 to 2018, he played Man in Human Pieces II. In 2019, he performed as Conductor in a production directed by Phala Ookeditse Godot-Logue. He played Diver in Plunge Avatar 2019.
Ratladi has worked behind the scene and has written and directed many productions. He directed Miles Julie in 2015, King Lear in 2016, Silent Scars in 2017, The Train in 2018, Rhoda Miller in 2018, and The Dead Chant in Death in 2018.
Calvin wrote and directed in Nongqawuse in 2019. He founded a theatre productions organization Calvin Ratladi Foundation in 2010.
In 2022, Ratladi received the Outstanding Person with Disability award in SAFTA. He holds a Naledi Award. He plays Goloza on the hit drama series Shaka iLembe. In 2019, he received the Lesedi Spirit of Courage Award. He is the first Black Person to receive it since the award’s inception three years ago.
Calvin has authored many books like The Ram And Its Behind. He co-wrote Roots in The Sky and MaNgoyi – The Life of Lilian Ngoyi. He is the curator of the international theatre project, A Gathering in a Better World (GIABW).
