West Coast Municipality: Bursaries 2019 in Western Cape

The West Coast District Municipality in partnership with the Department of Local Government in Western Cape (Provincial Treasury) will be offering four (4) bursaries for full-time studies at accredited tertiary institutions to youth residing in the West Coast Region. x2 Second year students are invited to apply for a bursary for the 2018 and 2019 academic year and x2 First year students are invited to apply for a bursary for the 2019 academic year, which will be extended to a maximum of three years, provided that the candidate adheres to the bursary conditions.The maximum estimated bursary amount peer annum is R60000 per student.

Who can Apply?

  • Applicants who study full-time in the following fields at an accredited University, University of Technology or a registered Private Higher Education institution will be considered.
  • The bursary is restricted to full-time study and attendance at an accredited University, University of Technology or a registered Private Higher Education  institution
  • Individuals from historically disadvantaged societal groups or individuals with disabilities.
