UMP Online Application Process – A Step-by-Step Guide
Before starting your online application, ensure you have the following documents ready for upload in PDF, DOC, DOCX, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG formats:
- Certified copies of your identity document
- Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate
- Any other relevant academic documents
- Proof of payment for the non-refundable application fee: R200 (RSA), R400 (SADC), and R550 (international students outside SADC)
Follow these simple steps to apply:
Step 1: Start Your Application
- Visit the UMP online application portal.
- Accept the application rules and click “Continue.”
Step 2: Enter Your Personal Information
- Fill in your biographical details and click “Next.”
Step 3: Submit Your Academic Results
- Capture your results and add your subjects, then click “Next.”
Step 4: Enter Your Previous Educational Information
- Provide details of the educational institution you previously attended and click “Next.”
Step 5: Choose Your Programmes
- Select up to two programmes you wish to apply for. Click “Add Qualification” and then “Next.”
Step 6: Review Your Application
- Verify the details of your application and click “Continue.”
Step 7: Create a PIN
- Create a 5-digit PIN, accept the terms (tick both checkboxes), and click “Submit Application.”
Step 8: Upload Your Documents
- Confirm if your documents are ready for upload. If they are, click “Next.”
Step 9: Upload Your Files
- Click “Load/View Document,” choose the relevant file from your device, and click “Save.”
Step 10: Complete Document Upload
- Once all required documents are uploaded, click “Complete Upload.”
Step 11: Finalize Your Application
- You’ll be directed to a confirmation page, indicating the successful submission of your application.
