University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN): Richard AD Turner Bursaries 2023

The University of KwaZulu-Natal invites students to apply for Richard AD Turner Bursaries Programme 2023 academic year
Bursary Application closing date is 20 March 2023.
The bursary will be awarded for Masters degrees students at UKZN, to students who demonstrable student leadership credentials and proven involvement in community work in which democratic endeavours are highlighted. The scholarship supports Master’s level research which focuses on issues of justice and freedom for all South Africans.
Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be enrolling for Masters degree studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (with research which focuses on issues of justice and freedom for all South Africans)
- You must demonstrable student leadership credentials
- You must be involved in community work in which democratic endeavours are highlighted
- You must be willing to contribute to student leadership while holding the award
- Your field of expertise must be inclined towards trade unionism

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):
- Full detailed Curriculum Vitae (maximum 5 pages)
- Most recent degree
- Full Academic transcript
- 1 or more referee reports commenting on your leadership/ community involvement
- Master’s thesis/ dissertation proposal (maximum 3 pages) OR a motivation for your chosen research area
- Motivational letter stating why you should be considered for this scholarship (1 page)
