University of Johannesburg (UJ) Registration 2024

The University of Johannesburg (UJ), a distinguished public institution situated in Johannesburg, South Africa, offers a diverse array of courses across multiple faculties, including Art, Design and Architecture, Economic and Financial Sciences, Education, Engineering and the Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management, and Science.

UJ Registration Dates 2024

First Year Students: Registration opens on 19 January 2024 and closes on 9 February 2024 (only online, off-campus registrations will be allowed). Register as early as possible due to programmes being filled during the first few days of registration. Spaces cannot be guaranteed.

Senior and Returning Students: Registration opens on 15 January 2024 until 9 February 2024 (only online, off-campus registration will be allowed) for returning/continuing students.

Registration Steps:

Step 1: Logging In

  1. Access the Registration Portal: Visit ulink.uj.ac.za using your STUDENT NUMBER and PASSWORD.
    • If you lack a password, click on “CREATE PASSWORD” to proceed.

Step 2: Initiate Online Registration

  1. Navigate to Online Registration:
    • Click on “ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT,” then select “REGISTRATION” to begin the process.
    • Detailed instructions for each step are available by clicking the blue question mark icon.

Step 3: Follow Registration Processes

  1. Complete Listed Processes:
    • Verify your contact details and review the Academic Registration Rules or agreement. Accept to continue with Online Registration.
    • Check your registration statuses. Contact UJ at 011 559 4555 or registration@uj.ac.za if unable to proceed.

Step 4: Payment Process

  1. Make Payment:
    • Click on “Cheque and Credit card payment” to proceed with payment (no debit card payments accepted).

Step 5: Confirm Registration

  1. Submit Registration:
    • Confirm the qualification you’re registering for.
    • Enter your EMPLOYMENT STATUS and account responsibility. Supply third-party information if necessary.
    • Save details, select modules, verify registration cost, and click “ACCEPT REGISTRATION.”
    • Print your PROOF OF REGISTRATION.

Step 6: Finalize Registration

  1. Collect Student Card:
    • After finalizing registration, collect your student card (if not already obtained) at the relevant campus.
    • Print your class timetable on the student portal.

Step 7: Subject Adjustment and NSFAS Process

  1. Add/Cancel Subjects:
    • Use “ADD / CANCEL SUBJECTS TO A REGISTRATION” to add or cancel subjects as permitted within university regulations.
    • For NSFAS approved students, start the NSFAS contract process by clicking on the NSFAS Allocation folder.
