University of Free State: Development Support Internship 2017 / 2018

University of Free State (UFS) hereby offers internship opportunities to South African graduates.  The internship programme will run for a period of 12 months.

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Conduct interviews for the project titled: “Mediational intervention for sensitising care givers”.

·         Assist with KABC interviews.

·         Assist with Excel and SPSS databases.

·         Assist with general fieldwork at the Centre for Development Support.

·         Translate qualitative work from Sesotho to English.

 

Inherent requirements:

·         Relevant B-degree.

·         Language proficiency in Sesotho.

Required competencies:

·         Computer literacy.

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s richly diverse working environment.

·         Punctuality.

·         Self-organised.

·         Understand “Mediational intervention for sensitizing care givers” (MISC).

 

The following criteria apply to the selection of candidates:

·         Not currently participating in an existing learnership /internship programme.

·         Willing to sign a learnership / internship agreement with the UFS.

·         Candidate must be available for a period of one (1) year.

Assumption of duties:
1 June 2017.
