Umzimvubu Municipality: Internships 2017 / 2018 in Eastern Cape

The Umzimvubu Local Municipality is offering internships  programme the Financial year 2017 in Eastern Cape. The internship provides an opportunity for graduates to gain the necessary application skills as well as “hands on” work experience. The  Fianance internship will be for a period of 24 (twenty four) months and the Sound Governance Internship will be for a period of 12 months.

Finance Management [ x2 ]  interns – 24 Months Internship Programme
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma / Degree in Financial Management / Accounting
  • Good Academic record
  • Computer Literacy
  • Good knowledge of Local Government and other spheres of Government

Remuneration: R100 000.00 per annum. 


Sound Governance [  x1 ] interns – 12 months internship programme
Requirements :
  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma / Degree in Public Management / Office Administration / Translation and Linguistics.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Good communication skills and fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of Local Government and other spheres of Government

Remuneration: R 38170, 02 per month


  • The interns will sign both an employment contract and an internship agreement.
  • The purpose of the agreement is to ensure commitment to the programme which require, amongst other, full participation in the educational and workplace assignments and observance of policies
    and procedures of the municipality.
  • The candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 35.
