CA Trainee Position – Transnet Corporate Centre
Position Purpose
Transnet is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to join the CA Trainee Programme at their Corporate Centre. This three-year Learnership Programme is designed for candidates who have completed an accredited post-graduate qualification or its equivalent. The programme aligns with the stringent requirements of the SAICA framework, providing extensive training in various financial disciplines.
Key areas of focus include:
- Financial Management
- Management Decision-Making
- Financial Accounting
- Internal Audit & Corporate Governance
- Auditing & Assurance
- Taxation
The programme also incorporates a strong emphasis on digital acumen, integrated thinking, and the development of professional values, attitudes, and enabling competencies such as ethics, business acumen, decision making, lifelong learning, and relational skills. Trainees will rotate across various functions at Transnet, such as Transnet Freight Rail, Transnet Properties, and Transnet Engineering, ensuring they gain a well-rounded experience.
The training and assessment will follow the SAICA CA 2025 framework and the competencies required to successfully complete the programme.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- An accredited post-graduate qualification in Accounting Science or Financial Accounting.
- Current final-year CTA students are also encouraged to apply.
