About the SITFE Bursary:
- The program aims to increase access to quality education in agriculture, science, and engineering for high potential learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- SITFE provides a maximum of 41 full bursaries annually.
Who Can Apply:
- Residents from KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, the sugarcane growing provinces.
- Applicants who have applied in the Faculties of Science, Engineering, or Agriculture at a tertiary institution.
- Children of sugarcane farm workers are eligible to apply for any field of study at a tertiary institution.
- Applicants must be South African citizens.
Selection Criteria: Applicants must:
- Have applied for any field of study at a South African public university, university of technology, or agricultural college.
- Preference will be given to first-year students.
