South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP) Bursaries 2025

South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP) invites eligible South African students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2025.

Bursary application closing date is 15 November 2024.

The SASP (South African Society of Physiotherapy) Bursary provides a valuable opportunity for students pursuing a career in physiotherapy. This bursary is open to SASP student members studying towards a Physiotherapy qualification. Below, you’ll find key information and steps to apply for the SASP bursary.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the SASP bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be studying towards a Physiotherapy qualification.
  • Must be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year SASP student member (membership is free).
  • Must agree to the SASP Bursary terms and conditions.

Note: If any of these criteria are not met, the application will not be considered.

How to Apply for the SASP Bursary

Eligible students should follow these steps to apply:

Step 1: Complete the online application form for the SASP Bursary 2025.

Step 2: Submit the following required documents via email to: exec-assistant@saphysio.co.za. Make sure the email subject line states “SASP Bursary 2025.”

Mandatory Documents:

  • Certified copy of your ID document.
  • Proof of SASP membership (a letter of good standing).
  • 2024 mid-year university results.
  • 2023 end-of-year university results.
  • A letter of support from a University Physiotherapy lecturer.
  • Proof of any other sources of funding, if applicable.
  • A motivational letter (written by the applicant) – refer to guidance on writing an effective motivational letter.

Important: Ensure all documents are included; missing documents may lead to disqualification.

Closing Date

The deadline for the bursary application is 15 November 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered, so submit your application before the deadline.
