The South African Air Force is offering young South African citizens an opportunity to serve in uniform over a two-year period. The SA Air Force Military Skills Development System 2022` is a two-year voluntary service system with the aim of equipping and development young South African with the necessary skills in order to complete in the open market.

Traineeship Application Closing Date: 30 July 2021.

SA AIR FORCE: PILOTS / NAVIGATORS/ ENGINEERS/TECHNICAL

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship)
• Preferably single
• Not Area Bound
• No Criminal Record
• Comply with medical fitness requirements for appointment in the SANDF

PILOTS/NAVIGATORS REQUIREMENTS
• Members with Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) not older than 24 years of age with Mathematics and Physical Science (Level 4)
• 22 – 26 Years if in possession of a relevant Tertiary qualification (Degree, N Diploma or N4, N5, N6 prescripts) completed Grade 12 with (Level – 4) Mathematics and
Physical Science
• 18–24 Years – Completed Grade 12 or N3 (Technical) with 6 subjects of which two must be languages Mathematics and Physical Science minimum (Level – 4)
• No Hearing Impairment (No hearing aid)
• Have 6/6-eye vision (No contact lenses or corrective lenses or surgery)

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
-18–22 Years (1999 – 2003) -Completed Grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects including two languages
-22–26 (1995 – 2002) Years if in possession of a 3 year Tertiary qualification (Degree, National Diploma or N6 with N4 and N5 prescripts)
-RSA Citizen (no dual citizenship)
-Preferably Single
-Not Area Bound
-No Criminal Record
-Comply with medical fitness requirements for appointment in the SANDF

• NB: Attach Certified Identity Document and CV with Qualifications
• Statements of results for matriculants of 2019 and before will not be accepted
• Admission Point Score (APS) of 17, (excluding Life Orientation)
• Applicants in possession of the National N-Diploma (N4 , N5 and N6) all copies of the qualification must be attached
• Applicants must not have visible tattoos, (lower Arm, Neck and Face)
