Siza Water invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Electrician Learnership Programme 2025.

Learnership Overview:

Siza Water is offering a learnership opportunity for an aspiring electrician. This programme is aimed at developing skills through hands-on experience and structured learning. The successful learner will work closely with qualified electricians on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various water infrastructure facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems
  • Participate in planned/unplanned maintenance at treatment works, pump stations, and reservoirs
  • Troubleshoot faults and support repairs of motors, VSDs, and basic instruments
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Complete learnership assignments, logbooks, and assessments
  • Assist with sump cleaning and standby duties

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate (Mathematics and Physical Science preferred)
  • N2 – N3 Electrical Engineering Certificate
  • Previous exposure to industrial environments
  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
