Purpose of the Role:
Silica Ouart (Pty) Ltd aims at providing a qualified unemployed youth with an opportunity to gain work experience in the advertised field for a limited duration of 2 years.
Key Performance Area:
- Develop., Set Internship Development Objectives / Goals with a Mentor.
- Gain knowledge, skills and hands-on experience required in order to servo as a Geologist
- Demonstrate an interest in reading and updating personal knowledge of management ethics and current industry trends
- Participate in the on-going monitoring and review of the progress of ones performance with Senior Management
- Observe experienced staff and gain knowledge about policies, procedures, methods and standards that are required for perforating ones duties
- Produce work consistent with quality and standard required.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- Valid Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in Geology
- Computer literate
- Valid Certificate of Fitness
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge in the Plant Mining Environment; Knowledge on Pre-Shif / Pre-Start Inspection Sheets; Knowledge in report writing. Knowledge on SHED Principles. knowledge in chemistry/analytical chemistry & sampling
