The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) is offering Hospitality Traineeships for 2024 at Sedibeng TVET College.
Traineeship Details:
- Positions Available: 3 positions for Hospitality Trainees.

- Salary: R3500.00 per month.
- Duration: From 09 January 2024 to 11 December 2024.

Background of DHET:
- DHET was established in 2009, focusing on skills development, previously under the Department of Labour, after the division of the former Department of Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage kitchen training.
- Control kitchen equipment stock.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, boardrooms, and the auditorium.
- Prepare ingredients for practical cooking sessions.
- Assist lecturers during practical cooking sessions.
- Set up food stations for functions.
- Assist with ingredient purchases.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Qualifications: Completion of all subjects for Hospitality N6 or NC(V) L4 is necessary.
- Additional Advantage: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Skills: Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, good communication, customer service, high hygiene standards, and working well under pressure.
