SAPS Visible Policing: Internships 2018 / 2019 in Gauteng

South African Police Service (SAPS) invites unemployed youth to apply for internships programme for 2018 / 2019 at Division: Visible Policing in Pretoria, Gauteng. The interns are for the period of 12 months.

The internship programme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.

Requirements

Intern categories: Graduate Intern: Tertiary Qualification is required

Student Intern: Need practical experience in order to finalise qualification Intern: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) no tertiary qualification is required.

LOCATION: Pretoria Ref: VP / INT / 18 / 2018REQUIREMENTS: 3 year Degree / Diploma in Administration, Public Management, Public Administration, Strategic Management, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Secretarial Diploma or social sciences. (NQF 6 / 7 / 8)

Additional Requirements * Good interpersonal relations. Be assertive, trustworthy, ethical and professional with integrity. * Must be willing to occasionally work after hours and travel to different provinces. * Be able to work independently and as part of a team. * Be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Computer literacy with MS Word, PowerPoint and Ms Excel will be added as an advantage.

CORE FUNCTIONS: * Assist with the auditing of Victim Friendly rooms through excel format. Assist in typing of memo, monthly, quarterly and annual report. Assist with auditing of effective and non – effectiv e victim friendly rooms. Ensure the distribution of procured promotional materials to province. *Conduct station compliance visit with the team and compile feedback reports afterwards. Manage youth crime prevention programmes initiated by SAPS on school ba sed crime prevention.*Support in management of the effective implementation of community awareness programmes and facilitate the effective implementation of provincial awareness campaign.
