SAFCOL invites applications to apply for General Forestry Learnership Programme 2021.

Learnership Location: Sabie, Mpumalanga
Applications are invited from the unemployed youth who wish to pursue a career In Forestry. The suitable candidates will be granted an opportunity to attend an eight month General Forestry Learnership Programme. Learners will be studying and residing at the Platorand Training Centre situated in Sable. Mpumalanga Province. to complete both the theoretical and practical component of the Learnership.
Upon successful completion of the learnership, learners will receive a national, recognize qualification (General Education and Training Certificate In Forestry NO.F 1 Learners will gain work experience that will improve their chances of employment with forestry companies and contractors also provide opportunities to up their own SMME. Learners will also gain links with the employment networks to get jobs.
A monthly stipend will be allocated to learners for the duration of the learnership. When making the final selection preference will be given to Previously Disadvantaged individuals i.e. People living with disabilities, females & youth from communities adjacent to SAFCOL plantations and communities we have signed social compacts with.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an unemployed. youth (between ages 18 to 35;
- Must have completed and passed grade 12 (matric);
- Must have pass. mark with the following subjects; Maths, Life and/or Physical
- Must have passion for forestry and be willing to work outdoors.
