About the PNG Power Ltd Apprentice Programme 2025:
PNG Power Ltd offers unique opportunities for talented, motivated, and aspiring graduates to join a transformational journey of expanding electricity services across Papua New Guinea. The 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship Programme includes on-the-job training, block course training at PNG Power Training College, and potential permanent placement for top performers.
Disciplines Available:
- Electrical
- Fitter
- Diesel Fitter
- Maintenance Fitting & Machining (MFM)
- Electrical Lines (Transmission & Distribution)
- Power Station Operations
Eligibility Requirements:
- Successfully completed a Technical Training Certificate (TTC) or National Certificate 1, 2 or 3 (NC1, NC2 or NC3) in:
- Electrotechnology
- Maintenance Fitting & Machining
- Diesel Heavy Equipment Fitting
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 25
- Must be single with no dependents
- No criminal convictions
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and teamwork ability
- Strong industrial work ethic and integrity
Added Advantage:
- 3 to 6 months of On-the-Job Training experience
Required Documents:
- Expression of Interest letter
- Updated CV
- Copies of educational qualifications
- Two (2) character references (from school/employer or recognized community figure)
- Copy of Birth Certificate, National Identification Card (NID), or Police Clearance
