PathCare: Phlebotomy Technician Learnerships 2024 / 2025

PathCare Academy invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Phlebotomy Technician Learnership Programme 2024.

The PathCare Academy has limited seats available for learners who are currently in matric and due to write the NSC exams in 2024. If you have Life Science with Mathematics or Maths Literacy with June results that meet our requirements, apply to join our Academy in 2025 and train to be a Phlebotomy Technician.

Theoretical training will take place at our PathCare Academy campuses in Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria and the practical training will be offered at PathCare depots at various locations around the country.

Requirements:

  • Specific requirements: June 2024 results: Life Science/Biology ≥ 50% WITH Mathematics ≥ 40% or Math Literacy ≥ 60%.
  • Must be in possession of a South African ID
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and study rigorously
  • Possess a well developed work ethic
  • Willing to collect and/or process blood and body products
  • Ability to provide excellent service and be responsive to customer needs
  • Read, write and understand basic Afrikaans
  • Willingness to work shifts and after hours as required

It is specifically brought to the attention of interested persons that only those candidates who fully comply with the application instructions, score the highest in the competitive testing and interview processes, and who are deemed most suitable will be selected.

Candidates are to carefully note the specific requirements for the Phlebotomy Technician Programme before submitting. ONLY 2024 matriculants who have achieved ≥50% for Life Science and ≥40% for Mathematics OR ≥ 60% for Math literacy in their mid-year exams will be considered.
