Northern Cape Provincial Government: Bursaries 2024

Northern Cape Provincial Government invites eligible South African students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.

Bursary application closing date is 30 November 2023.

The Northern Cape Provincial Government (NCPG) offers bursaries to empower unemployed youth in the Northern Cape pursuing various undergraduate fields.

Bursaries will be awarded to Northern Cape students, for undergraduate studies within these fields:

The Northern Cape Provincial Transversal Bursaries Programme aims to empower unemployed youth within the Northern Cape, by providing funding to financially and academically deserving candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for NCPG Bursary:

  1. Citizenship: South African citizenship.
  2. Employment: Unemployed status.
  3. Residence: Must reside within the Northern Cape province.
  4. Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
  5. Education: Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
  6. Field of Study: Full-time undergraduate studies within specified fields.
  7. Institution: Studying or accepted to study at a recognized and accredited public institution of Higher Education in South Africa.
  8. Academic Record: Strong academic performance.
  9. Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need.
  10. Preference: Given to financially needy and academically deserving applicants.

How to apply

Applications may be submitted in either of the following ways (please only select 1 application method – you may not apply more than once):

– Online: NCPG Bursary Application 2024 (after completing the online application, you will be required to submit your documents via email as stated below.)

– Download and complete the NCPG Bursary Application Form 2024 (.docx)

– Collect an application form at any of the following offices:

Submit clear copies of the following documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

Note: documents must have been certified within the past 6 months.
