The Netcare Finance Internship programme is designed to give interns real-world, applicable, professional experience. As part of the internship programme, you will be provided with both personal and professional growth opportunities.
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Regional Finance Manager in performing general Accounting functions.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, or B Com degree or NQFL 7 Accounting equivalent
- No work experience required
Knowledge
- Advanced computer literacy – MS Office especially in Excel
- My Market (preferable)
- SAP (preferable)

- Responsibilities
- Adherence to internal control procedures
- Accurate processing of financial transactions into various financial systems
- Reconciliation and submitting of monthly statutory return
- Facilitation of non-pharmacy stock counts, including linen and stores
- Knowledge of the full cashbook function
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed assets register, including cyclical physical verification
- Assistance with preparation of general ledger reconciliations
- Assistance with completion of monthly financial pack
- Assistance with compilation of budgets
- Assisting the Regional Financial Manager with the production of accurate and timeous management information, for example Lead Schedules / working papers / ad-hoc reports etc
- Any other Ad Hoc Financial duties delegated by the Accountant
