NERSA Bursary Program Overview:
- Fields Covered: Masters and PhD degree studies related to NERSA’s regulatory mandate, including the regulation of the electricity, piped-gas, and petroleum pipelines industries.
- Bursary Coverage: The bursary covers registration fees, tuition fees, and prescribed books. The total value is determined by a financial means test.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- South African citizenship required.
- Intending to study a Masters or PhD Degree in 2024 in the specified fields.
- Accepted to study at a South African University or University of Technology.
- Strong academic record and potential for academic success.
- From a previously disadvantaged background.
- Financial need.
- Not receiving any other bursary funding.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the energy sector.
- Application Process:
- No application form is required.
- Submit clear copies of specified documents, including ID, academic record, acceptance letter, dissertation details, motivational letter, and proof of parents or guardians’ ID and income.
- Applications can be submitted via email, post, or hand delivery.
