Mandela Rhodes Foundation Scholarships 2026

Mandela Rhodes Foundation is pleased to invite South African students to apply for its Scholarship Programme for the 2025 academic year.
Application Closing: 21 April 2025.
Key Features of the Scholarship:
- Coverage: Registration fees, tuition, study material, meal and accommodation allowances, personal allowance, medical aid, economy-class flights (for non-SA students), and potential research and conference grants.
- Duration:
- Honours students: 1 year
- Master’s students: 1-2 years
- Payment Structure: Allowances are paid twice a year; tuition/registration fees are paid directly to the university.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of any African country (including South Africa).
- Age: Between 19 and 29 years old.
- Study Location: Must be willing to study at one of the listed South African institutions.
- Educational Requirements: Must have completed or will complete an undergraduate degree by January 2026, with at least a 70% overall average or upper-second class Honours.
- Language: Proficiency in English at a postgraduate level.
- Leadership Skills: Must have demonstrated leadership in campus or community settings.
- Ethical Commitment: Must aim to advance equality, freedom, and human dignity in Africa.
- Additional Requirements: No other scholarship funding, and a commitment to the leadership development program, which includes workshops and mentoring.
