The Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture invites applications from qualified candidates for Library Assistant positions (x4 posts) in various districts.

R193 359 per annum (Level 04)
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred: NQF Level 6 in Library and Information Studies/Science.
- Valid driver’s license (Not required for persons with disabilities).
- Strong computer and internet literacy.
- Knowledge of library administration procedures and norms.
- Good planning, organising, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clerical and administrative support in the library.
- Assist with the computerisation of library materials.
- Help with awareness campaigns and collection development.
- Assist in processing and shelving library materials.
- Support users with research, computer usage, and locating materials.
- Answer phone, email, and front desk inquiries.
- Register and maintain customer records.
- Participate in the day-to-day management and operations of the library.
