Job Overview

As a Personal Assistant (PA) at KZN COGTA, you’ll play an integral role in supporting senior managers by managing their schedules, coordinating meetings, handling communications, and assisting with project administration. Your work will ensure the smooth running of the office and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of municipal and governance services across the province.

The salary for these roles is R308,154 per annum at a Level 7 position, with a range of exciting responsibilities and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Provide secretarial and receptionist support to senior management.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing correspondence, organizing meetings, and preparing documents.
  • Help coordinate and administer meetings, agendas, and minutes.
  • Manage budgets for senior managers and assist with financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with public service policies and relevant legislation.
  • Offer research support, analyze documents, and assist with general office tasks.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders and maintain professional communication at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

To qualify for these roles, you need:

  • A Secretarial Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • 3-5 years’ experience providing administrative support to senior management.
  • Strong computer skills, with a solid understanding of office management and basic financial management.
  • Knowledge of public service legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain strong organizational skills, and meet deadlines.
