Kagiso Trust: Graduate Internships 2024

Kagiso Trust invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Graduate Internship Programme 2024.

Kagiso Trust is one of South Africa’s leading development agencies working towards a prosperous, peaceful, equitable and just society. We work to overcome poverty by developing and implementing scalable, replicable, sustainable development programme models in the areas of education development, institutional capacity building, socio-economic development, and financial sustainability. Over the past 30 years, we have invested over R2 billion in development and implemented over 1,831 programmes.

The Trust is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Unemployed graduates (age 18  – 35 yrs old) are invited to apply for the Kagiso TrustInternship Programe. The Internship will run for a period of twelve (12) months.

Communications and Marketing Intern

Reference No: CM2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Marketing / Journalism / Copywriting / Public Relations or Equivalent.

Dutiies: Digital Marketing. Events Management. Graphic Design. Copy Writing and all other marketing-related activities.


Company Secretariat and Legal Intern

Reference No: CSL2024JHB

Requirements: Chartered Governance certificate or equivalent

Dutiies: Arrange and facilitate board and committee meetings. Statutory returns and correspondence with the regulators. Drafting of resolutions. Review of policies and other relevant governance documents.


Programme Management and Research Intern

Reference No: PMR2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inProject management / Business Studies / Social Sciences (Research) 

Dutiies: Administer documentation of work of programmes or projects of the Unit (PMO) documents. Conduct research on internet and/or in the field and compile research reports, articles and/or factsheets. Monitor and report global and national trends and emerging issues relating to Kagiso Trust programmes. Conduct administration work for research activities. Organise programmes meetings and compile meeting reports


HR Intern

Reference No: HR2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inHuman Resources or Equivalent.

Dutiies: Assisting the HR team with all HR administration, which will include Administration and coordination of all staff files, Payroll administration, reception relief, etc. Collating training-related data, including confirmation of training venues and dates. Preparing and compiling interview packs. Assist with induction and orientation of new staff, compiling welcome and starter packs. Maintaining the HR calendar, assisting HR with scheduling of various programs including performance reviews, etc


Finance Intern

Reference No: FIN2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inFinance / Accounting

Dutiies: Provision of financial services. Capturing of payments on AP and Online banking. Capturing of receipts on AR, etc. Asset management. Asset count, tagging, etc. Audit preparation. Audit documents preparation (Pulling out invoices according to schedule). Internal control system. Assist in updating risk registers. Ad hoc projects


Local Government Support Intern

Reference No: LGS2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inProject Management

Dutiies: Project management. Revenue management. Data collection and management. Stakeholder management. Programme Administration


Socio-economic Development Intern

Reference No: SED2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inAgricultural Economic / Agricultural Studies.

Dutiies: Impact fund management and business support. Socio Economic programme design and implementation. Entrepreneurial & commercial principles. SMME Policy analysis. Business valuation and model building. Stakeholder management


Policy Development Intern

Reference No: PD2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inDevelopment Policy / Political Sciences / Economics or relevant Humanities or Social Sciences 

Dutiies: Tracking and monitoring of legislative and policy developments in South Africa and the SADC region. Identifying networks, stakeholders, and platforms to engage policy and decision makers. Liaising with internal stakeholders to coordinate policy advocacy initiatives and events. Drafting of key legislative and/or policy documents. Compiling of monthly and quarterly reports


Education Researcher Intern

Reference No: EDU2024JHB

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree inAny field of study. An honours degree will be an added advantage

Dutiies: Researching Education Policies, national and international education policies. Data collation and Analysis. Assist in documenting the implementation process of KT’s Education Development Model. Keeping the Pillar abreast with Education Trends and research reports. Conduct beneficiary feedback for monitoring purposes. Handling research-based queries. Identify areas that can be advocated and backed by research. Administer the learning management system, ensuring its smooth operation and address user queries related to the KT learning management system.


Civil Society Support Programmes (CSSP) Intern

Reference No: CSSP2024JHB

Requirements: Must have a Grade 12 certificate. Tertiary Qualification (Preferred but not essential)

Dutiies: Community development/NGO sector. Events planning, logistics and minute-taking. Organisational and work environment. Stakeholder engagement and networking
