IVANPLATS: Bursaries 2024

Ivanplats invites eligible South African students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.

Bursary application closing date is 27 November 2023.

The Ivanplats Bursary Program offers financial aid to students residing in recognized mining communities who wish to pursue studies in any field at a tertiary institution in South Africa. Below are the eligibility requirements and application details for the bursary:

Eligibility Criteria for Ivanplats Bursary:

1. Citizenship: South African citizenship or Permanent Residency in South Africa.
2. Background: From a previously disadvantaged group.
3. Education: Completed Matric.
4. Field of Study: Enrolled or intending to enroll full-time in any field for a qualification in 2024 (does not cover short courses or skills programs).
5. Tertiary Institution: Registered or planning to register at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution.
6. Passion and Commitment: Display passion for learning and commitment to the chosen field of study.
7. COVID-19 Vaccination: Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and possess a vaccination certificate.
8. Preference: Preference given to students from local and doorstep host communities.

• Certified copy of ID document
• Certified copy of Matric latest results/certificate
• Full academic record/transcripts (if currently studying)
• Proof of registration for 2024 at an institution (on institution’s letterhead)
• Proof of residence (letter confirming address from tribal authority/ward councilor)
• COVID-19 vaccination certificate

• There’s no application form; only the listed documents need to be submitted.
