The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) is offering the Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) bursary program for the 2024 academic year. Here are the details:
Program Name: Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF)
Bursary Coverage:
- Unemployed Students: Covers tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation, meals, technological devices (laptops and data), and a monthly allowance.
- Employed Students: Covers tuition fees and a book allowance on a sliding scale.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Applicant must be a South African citizen.
- Education Status: Currently in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric.
- Age Criteria:
- Unemployed and between 18 and 35 years old.
- Employed (no specific age requirement).
- Study: Enrolled or intending to enroll at a recognized South African tertiary institution.
- Priority Fields: Preference will be given to courses in the Insurance and related sectors.
Application Details:
- Application Period: Information regarding application dates and procedures should be available through INSETA’s official website or communication channels.
- Required Documentation: Applicants need to submit relevant documents, such as academic transcripts, proof of matriculation, identification, proof of unemployment/employment, and details regarding intended study.
Note:
- Priority Courses: Emphasis is given to courses related to the Insurance sector.
- Coverage Differences: The coverage differs between unemployed and employed students.

- Completed ISSF POPIA Form (.pdf)
- Employed applicants:
- Completed ISSF Worker Agreement (.pdf)

- Letter of Employment
- Unemployed applicants:
