Introduction

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for candidates to participate in an Instrumentation Learnership Programme.
Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this learnership is to provide successful candidates with the opportunity to attain artisanship by undergoing trade testing, specifically within the field of instrumentation. The learnership will equip learners with the skills needed for the trade while fostering professional growth in the mining industry.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Completed N3 or NCV4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Light Current – Instrumentation).
- Subjects at N3 level: Mathematics, Industrial Electronics, Digital Electronics, and Industrial Instrumentation.
- Basic Knowledge: A fundamental understanding of the applicable trade is required.
- Health: Must be medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR).
Training Programme / Duties and Responsibilities
- Duration: The learnership lasts for 42 months and includes a structured training programme under the auspices of the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).
- Training Focus: During the learnership, the incumbent will gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime in the production sections.
This comprehensive programme is designed to provide the necessary skills and experience to become a qualified Instrument Mechanician.
