Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Sourcing:
    • Identify and source suppliers from the Central Supplier Database.
  2. Quotation and Market Research:
    • Compile and evaluate price quotations for products and services.
    • Conduct market research to stay updated on supply trends.
  3. Procurement Support:
    • Assist in creating procurement plans and quarterly reports.
    • Help manage tender processes and participate in bid committee activities.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Support inventory management and perform monthly reconciliations.
  5. Travel & Contract Coordination:
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage monthly travel reconciliations.
    • Assist with contract management, including expenditure trend analysis.
  6. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Draft reports and manage compliance with procurement standards.
    • Support reporting on Economic Development (ED) and BEE compliance.
  7. Collaboration & Team Support:
    • Engage in teamwork, brainstorming, and mentoring activities to enhance learning.
    • Take on additional tasks as directed by senior management (CEO, CFO, or Line Manager).

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Educational Requirement:
    • A National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management (or a related qualification).
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
    • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong team orientation.
