- Salary: R289,572.00 per annum (Post Level 8) + Normal company benefits and a 25% Non-Pensionable allowance.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Traffic Diploma
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Valid Code B driver’s license or higher
- Fire Arms Competency Certificate
- Medical, mental, and physical fitness for traffic officer duties
- Ability to work abnormal hours and during emergencies
- Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- No criminal record (valid SAPS Clearance Certificate required)
Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinating traffic flow and public safety activities
- Monitoring and acting on inappropriate behavior
- Enforcing compliance with traffic and public safety by-laws
- Undertaking activities during emergencies
- Completing reports and documentation
- Collaborating with SAPS, Fire, and Traffic departments
Special Conditions:
- Uniform may be required
- Exposure to all weather conditions
- Carrying firearms may be required
- Subject to vetting
