GIBB: Bursaries 2024

GIBB is welcoming applications from South African students for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.

About the GIBB Bursary:

GIBB, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is offering bursaries to students pursuing Civil Engineering degrees specializing in Civil Engineering, Rail, and Roads. The bursaries are designed to support young, talented students with the potential to become industry experts.

Bursary Coverage:

The GIBB bursary will cover the following expenses:

  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed textbooks
  • Travel costs
  • Accommodation (where applicable)

Recipients of the bursary will have the opportunity to participate in vacation work and complete practical training as required by their university.

After graduation, bursary recipients will be required to take up employment at any GIBB office in South Africa.

Bursaries are renewable each year based on students’ academic results, which should remain above a 60% average.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have completed Matric
  • Be studying full-time towards a Civil Engineering Degree, specializing in Civil Engineering, Rail, and Roads
  • Be entering your 2nd year or higher of undergraduate study, or pursuing Honours or Masters, in 2024
  • Be studying at any recognized university in South Africa

  3. Matric certificate (certified copy)
  4. Full tertiary academic record (certified copy)
