Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) invites applicants to apply for Internship Programme 2020 / 2021.

The Gauteng Provincial (GPL) Internship programme is a 24 month fixed term contract which provides workplace experience. It allows one to gain valuable work experience and provides the intern with an opportunity to obtain an understanding of the GPL, its values and work ethic. The applicants need to have completed at least their undergraduate degree or degree equivalent by the end of 2019.
The objective of the GPL Internship Programme is to assist graduates and people with qualifications to obtain workplace experience and the GPL to contribute to the up skilling of individuals as per the Skills Development Act.

Internship Opportunities Available:
1. Strategy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
Qualification Requirements: Degree and/or Diploma in Monitoring
and Evaluation, Auditing, Information Management, Developmental Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration or Business Management or related NQF equivalent qualification.
2. Supply Chain Management
Qualification Requirements: A Degree and/or Diploma in Supply
Chain Management/Purchasing Management or Logistics or related NQF equivalent qualification.
3. Finance
Qualification Requirements: Degree, Commerce, Public Finance and Administration, or Commerce related Commercial disciplines.
4. Office of the Executive Director Core Business
Qualification Requirements: A Degree and/or Diploma in Public
Administration/Political Science or related NQF equivalent qualification
5. Network Support
Qualification Requirements: An IT related degree / diploma.
6. SAP Basis Support
Qualification Requirements: An IT related degree / diploma.
7. Help Desk
Qualification Requirements: An IT related degree / diploma.
8. Audio Visual
Qualification Requirements: Diploma in Sound Engineering or equivalent qualification.
9. Research
Qualification Requirements: Degree, Economics, Public Finance and Administration, Political Studies, Statistics, or related disciplines.
10. Communications
Qualification Requirements: A Degree and/or Diploma in
Communications, Communications Science, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising e-Digital Marketing Management, Media Management or related NQF equivalent qualification
11. Committees
Qualification Requirements: A Degree and/or Diploma in Public
Administration/Political Science or related NQF equivalent qualification
12. Members Facilities and Support
Qualification Requirements: Diploma and/or Degree within the following fields: Human Resources Management/ Development, Political Science
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be South African citizens;
- Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Gauteng;
- Must have no previous criminal convictions or cases pending;
- Applicant must be between the age of 18-35;
- Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in field of the advertised post and never participated in an internship programme;
- It’s the applicants responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA);
- Applicants are restricted to apply for only three positions that is most suitable to your qualification and complete separate application forms for each post reference number;
