Department of Social Development offers exciting opportunities to suitable candidates who have passed a NQF Level 4 FETC Certificate in Early Childhood Development for potential placement in our Learnership programme.
IN ACHIEVING THE DEPARTMENTS EMPLOYMENT EQUITY PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN BUT NOT LIMITED TO – :
• Youth from all race and gender groups. Inclusive of persons with disabilities
• Foster Children
• Orphans Youth Related to Military Veterans
• Child Headed Families
Successful learners will be expected to enter into on 18-month contract from 2021 and would be placed at the Early Childhood Development Centre where they are volunteering/employed.
Internship Programme:
FETC: Early Childhood Development NQF Level 5
Admittance requirement:
• Volunteers at Registered ECD Centres
• Letter from Principal at ECD centre confirming that they will mentor the learner during the 18-month programme
• Already in possession of a NQF Level 4 ECD qualification
• Grade 12
Documents to be attached to Z83:
• Certified copy of the NQF Level 4 ECD qualification (admittance requirement for this learnership)
• Certified copy of ID
• Proof of residence to Gauteng
• Certified copy of Grade 12 certificate
• CV
• Proof of Income of person supporting you and their ID
• Court order if you were a foster child
• Background report from a social worker Ito child headed families, orphans and foster children
• Proof of relation to military veteran be card or letter and affidavit by veteran)
• In terms of the ECD learnership a letter from the Principal at a ECD centre confirming that the learner will be mentored and placed at the ECD centre for 18 months
