- Education: Grade 12 with minimum level 4 pass marks in the following subjects:
- Physical Science
- Maths
- Biology/Life Sciences
- English
Residency: South African citizenship and permanent residence in Gauteng

- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Proof of income (Payslips) of parents/guardians or sworn affidavits for unemployed individuals
- Proof of residence validated by the Ward Councillor and Municipality Bill
