Garden Route District Municipality invites unemployed graduates to apply for 12 months Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

Internship Location: Garden Route District Municipality, Western Cape

Salary: R 12 000 (Fixed Term Contract for a period of 12 months)

Internship Description:

• Garden Route District Municipality is fully committed to Employment Equity.
• Applications are invited for the following vacancy in the Roads and Transport Planning Services Department.
• Municipality Internships: Garden Route District Municipality (x2)

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Language proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and/or English and/or IsiXhosa)

Duties:

• Procuring of materials as per bill of quantities through the acting Deputy Manager
• Quality control of all site work
• Normal survey
• Verifying all deliveries on site

• Production Monitoring
• Process Control
• Sourcing of Material for lab test
• Assist with administration functions
• Slump and cube test of concrete works
• Supervision of EPWP teams

Note (s):

Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Garden Route District Municipal area.
