Frost and Sullivan, the global growth consulting company headquartered in California, is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing and Event Management intern to assist our regional African events marketing division. Our African operation is a young and dynamic team with Head Office in Cape Town, South Africa.

Remuneration
This is a paid internship. Salary is R5, 000 per month.
Fixed term contract of seven months to start 1st April 2017 and finish end of October 2017
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the global graphics team for event collateral and workbooks: create new or update existing presentation materials (PowerPoint, tabling, brochures etc)
- Assisting with social media coverage and updates leading up to the both events in August and October but also on the actual day
- Liaising with our event registration team and register delegates in our event management software
- Liaising with our executive partners and sponsors on event features and execution
- Working on the two events we are planning for ie GIL on August 16-17 and October 11-12. Both events are hold in Cape Town at The Table Bay Hotel
- Working with our service providers including but not limited to gift company, wine estates, printing companies on deliverables
Qualifications (necessary skills and experience required)
Applicants must have a passion and interest for organising events and a willingness to learn how global consulting firms prepare and deliver corporate events. The applicants need to be proficient in all Microsoft software applications and have above-average communication and organizational skills. He or she must also be able to multitask, think outside the box, think on their feet and troubleshoot problems.
In addition, a friendly & outgoing personality, the ability to work independently, problem-solve and multi-task, and be detail oriented.
Key Criteria
- Good administration skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, namely Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Other languages are an additional plus
- A methodical approach combined with creativity, determination and persistency
Terms of Employment
The intern will be required for full time employment, office hours 8:30 am till 5:30 pm and will be required to start 1st April 2017 till end October 2017.
