Exxaro Leeuwpan Coal invites applications for its Rock Engineering Internship Programme. This programme is designed to provide on-the-job exposure for unemployed youth, with a preference for candidates from the Victor Khanye Municipality, who have qualifications in Mining Engineering or Geology.

Qualifications Required:

  • A qualification in Mining Engineering or Geology (Minimum/Essential)

Requirements & Experience:

  • No prior experience is required.
  • Proven theoretical knowledge of rock engineering in open-cast mining.
  • Familiarity with software tools used in the rock engineering field.
  • Strong timekeeping abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to self-training and development.

Key Performance Areas:

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Delivering personal performance in line with the training and development programme.
  • Adherence to company rules and regulations.

Conditions for Application:

  • Selection Process: Candidates must pass the selection process.
  • Interviews and Screening Assessment will be conducted.
  • A Medical Certificate of Fitness Assessment is required.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
