Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council (ECSECC) is extending an invitation to unemployed graduates to submit their applications for the Research Internship Programme 2024.

The Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council (ECSECC) has opened positions for Research Interns in their Information and Research Unit.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Research Intern (2 positions available)
About ECSECC:
- Establishment Year: 1995
- Type: Schedule 3C Public Entity
- Purpose: Foster partnerships between government, organized business, organized labor, civil society, and higher learning institutions in the Eastern Cape.
- Mission: Eradicate poverty, create jobs, and enhance economic growth through policy research, development planning, and facilitation.
Internship Program Details:
- Purpose: To support the Information and Research Unit’s work program, assisting the Data Planning Specialist in various projects related to socio-economic profiling, research agenda development, and more.
- Projects Involved: EC-SERO report compilation, socio-economic profiling, research agenda development, and EC-Regional Observatory Concept.
- Responsibilities: Data gathering, research report writing, data capture, workshop organization, administrative support, social media engagement.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies Required:
- Education: Master’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Sociology, Public and Development Management, or related fields.
- Experience: Basic experience in quantitative and qualitative research, familiarity with interviewing techniques. Previous experience as a Research Assistant is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to work collaboratively, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking, and a strong work ethic.
