Department of Social Develpment: Learnerships 2017 in North West
North West Department is Inviting applicants to apply for the learnerships programmes for the academic year 2016/2017 which exist within the department of Social Development. This is a 12 months long learnership programme. Successful candidates will receive a learners allowance of R2 119.24 per month during their placement as stipulated in terms of the DPSA’s guide on Intern and Learnership Programmes. Applicants are advised to apply only to their area of residence.

Requirements:
- Unemployed South Africans
- Aged between 18 to 35 years of age
- Have never participated in any learnership programme
- Resident of the North West Province
- Working with people with disability and older persons would be an advantage
- From Grade 10 to 11 for Level 2
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted on Form 783, obtainable from all Public Service Departments and must be accompanied by a recently updated comprehensive CW, originally certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document. Application forms should be signed and dated. Failure to submit the requested documents will result in your application not being considered. Candidates must indicate their preferred directorate district in the space provided on the application form.
Please ensure that, if you are applying for more than one internship, a separate application for each is submitted. Should you be in possession of a foreign qualification, they must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Please take note that all qualifications are subjected to verification. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Faxed and e-mailed applications will also not be considered. The Department reserves the right not to place any learnership and correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. NB: Successful applicants will be expected to enter into a 12-month contract with the Department of social Development. It will be expected of candidates to be available for interviews on a date, time and place as determined by the Department: otherwise unavailability of candidates will disqualify them from the process.
