The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy is offering multiple Registry Clerk positions. The posts are located in Head Office, Pretoria and report to different offices within the Ministry.

Post 35/44: Registry Clerk (Ref No: 009)

Office: Office of the Minister: Mineral and Petroleum Resources
Salary: R216,417 per annum (Level 05)
Location: Head Office, Pretoria

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Experience: No experience required
  • Key Competencies:
  • Knowledge of the National Archives Act and Regulations
  • Understanding of Ministry operations
  • Ability to operate fax machines and photocopiers
  • Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and planning abilities

Duties:

  • Managing the registry (filing systems, document disposal, opening/closing files)
  • Developing a database of clients/service providers
  • Handling incoming submissions for the Minister
  • Managing correspondence (receiving, sorting, distributing, follow-ups)
