Requirements for Applicants:
To qualify for these EPWP youth positions, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A recognized three-year Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and its reporting protocols.
- Familiarity with EPWP‘s relationship with national, provincial, and municipal government.
- Organizational and coordination skills: Being able to handle tasks and manage multiple responsibilities is key.
- Stakeholder management: Having the ability to engage with various stakeholders and facilitate meetings or activities.
- Basic understanding of government planning processes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with interpersonal relationship skills.
- Computer literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work long hours under pressure and the willingness to travel (if required) will be considered an advantage.
Additional Preference:
Candidates with zero to two (0-2) years of experience in a relevant field will be given preference. This is ideal for young graduates looking to gain initial work experience and build their professional portfolio.
