CTICC: Communications Graduate Internships 2024
CTICC invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Communications Graduate Internship Programme 2024.

The Communications Graduate forms part of the Communications team and will assist in growing the CTICC’s media presence, both online and in traditional media, through innovative marketing, corporate website updates and brand management. The role entails a keen eye for detail, project management skills and a thorough understanding of the media landscape.
Reporting to the: Head of Marketing
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1) Social Media
- Assist in updating the CTICC social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Maintain communication with our social media audience.
- Work with the Marketing team to increase the efficacy of social media marketing campaigns.
- Assist in implementing social media tactics that are aligned to SEO strategies.
- Set and meet monthly goals for each social media platform.
- Have a keen eye for visual representation and be able to take photographs of staff when necessary.
2) External communication
- Maintain and update a media contact list.
- Assist with drafting CTICC press releases.
- Keep abreast of current trends and events at CTICC.
3) Internal communication
- Assist the Head of Marketing with drafting internal announcements and newsletters.
- Assist with report writing and internal presentations.
- Assist with any internal communications projects.
4) Website and intranet
- Regularly check that all information displayed on the official website is accurate.
- Liaise with ICT to correct any mistakes or outdated information on the official website.
- Ensure that staff events (summary and photos) are captured on the intranet (collaborate with Marketing)
- Evaluate the presentation of the website and intranet to ensure that it is user friendly and systematic.
5) Stakeholder management
- Maintain positive relationships with media outlets and relevant government departments through effective communication.
- Assist the Head of Marketing with maintaining a stakeholder database.
6) Record management
- Maintain archive/library of publications about the CTICC (e.g., media clipping, internal publications) and digitise where possible.
Requirements
- A relevant NQF 6 qualification in preferably in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations is essential for this role.
- Computer literate – MS Office / Microsoft 365 proficient.

- Excellent planning and organizational skills.

- The ability to build effective relationships.
- Demonstrate a professional, confident and ‘can do’ attitude at all times.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Be able handle confidential and sensitive information.
