Job Description:
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an exciting opportunity within its Manufacturing department for an In-Service Trainee in Engineering. This position is based at CCBSA Midrand and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment to meet maintenance targets, improve departmental efficiency, and optimize equipment availability.
- Minimize losses and mitigate risks in the plant.
Knowledge:
- A good understanding of electrical, mechanical, physics, and mathematics principles relevant to the engineering industry.
Skills:
- Thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Apply scientific principles to develop business solutions.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Ability to identify and implement new trends.
Attitude:
- Passion for engineering and working with people.
- High energy and positive attitude.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum 40%).
- Passes in two South African languages (minimum 40%).
- Currently pursuing a National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.
- Completion of theoretical modules; practical exposure required to complete qualification.
- Willingness to complete In-Service/Experiential Training in the industry.
- Must not have previously participated in an In-Service Trainee program elsewhere.
Other Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate.
- Must have been unemployed at the time of appointment.
- Age range: 18-35 years.
- A letter from the educational institution requesting workplace experience is required.
