About the In-Service Trainee Program
The Engineering In-Service Trainee position at CCBSA is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience. Trainees will report directly to the CA Technician and contribute to maintaining and optimizing manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively inspect, adjust, and repair equipment to meet maintenance targets.
- Improve department efficiency and equipment availability.
- Apply engineering principles to develop innovative business solutions.
What You Need to Apply:
- Education Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a minimum of 40% in Mathematics and Physical Science (Mathematics Literacy not accepted).
- Two South African languages passed with at least 40%.
- Current Studies:
- Must be studying towards a National Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering and have completed the theoretical modules.
- Work Requirement:
- Must have a letter from your institution requesting workplace experience to complete your qualification.
- Experience:
- Should not have previously completed an In-Service Trainee program at another organization.
Additional Criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate.
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment.
