City of Joburg invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Public Housing Internship Programme 2024 / 2025.

Internship Opportunity: Public Housing Programme – Department of Human Settlements


Remuneration:

  • Qualification completed with a minimum of 360 credits: R9 531.54 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
  • Enrolled as a student: R3 500.00 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Grade 12 (NQF level 4)
  • National Diploma in Town Planning/Civil Engineering/Project Management/Construction Management (NQF level 7) or
  • N6 qualification in any built environment field (for candidates needing in-service training)
  • Additional Requirement: Enrollment confirmation letter from the educational institution
  • Residency: Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered

Primary Function:

Provide project and administrative support. Act as a Project Coordinator on Public Housing Programmes and projects under the Public Housing Programme directorate within the Department of Human Settlements.

  • Programme Coordination: Coordinate and monitor programmes and projects executed by the Public Housing Programme directorate.
  • Compliance: Ensure procurement strategies, building contracts, and tender documents adhere to departmental requirements and procedures.
